If you love peanut butter, you’ll be interested to know the evidence that shows that the peanut plant grew at the foot of the Andes in Peru 7,600 years ago. Even the tomato plants came to this region of South America; He makes tomato ketchup and pizza sauce just to name a few!

Every year Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, celebrating the history, culture and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors originated from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The observance began in 1968 as Hispanic Week under President Lyndon Johnson and Hispanic Heritage was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to include 30 days beginning on September 15 and ending on October 15. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988, by the approval of Public Law 100-402. – Hispanic Heritage Month.gov
